Hi everyone!
I'm writting this one because I want to show you my family town and bring a little bit of its story.

The town of Ząbkowice Śląskie is a town in Lower Silesian Voivodeship. By 1945, the city was called "Frankenstein". Ząbkowice Śląskie is rich in interesting architectural monuments.
Here, among other things, leaning tower in Polish Krzywa Wieża, has a curved tower that serves as a lookout point. The turret is inclined from 2.14 m to the vertical and it measures 34 m.  Its feast celebrates every year during the "Days and nights of the Leaning Tower" – a cultural and recreational event that pulls tourists and visitors to performances of Polish music stars, happenings, exhibitions, shows and other attractions.
The Leaning tower is open to visitors and can be visited from 01 April to 31 October,
every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
from 01 November to 31 March-Tuesday to Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Leaning tower to the monuments also include the stately ruins of the Renaissance castle or the beautiful town hall. Intriguing are also some dark events from the history of Ząbkowice Śląskie, which are mentioned in the Laboratory of Frankenstein.
Equally family-friendly, although a slightly darker character has an event held in autumn in Ząbkowice Śląskie, namely "Weekend with Frankenstein". The event takes place every year and usually takes two days, during which the whole city changes. The ruins of the castle become a maze, with monsters lurking around every corner, and in the curve of the tower is created Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory. During this time, concerts are also held. The culmination of the event is a night cinema where horrors are displayed until the early hours of the morning. This is a really special event.

The opening of the House of Souvenirs took place in 1972 year on the initiative of Józef Glabiszewski, whose name took. The collections here tell about the past Ząbkowice Śląskie and the closest neighborhoods.
Namely, in 1606, the town struck plague and nearly 2000 inhabitants died. There has been a lot of time when someone has combined a disease attack with the activities of local gravediggers.  Soon in the suspicious apartments were found containers with poisonous powder. After torture, gravediggers said that the spill poison was done in the houses, as a result of which so many people died. The plague expired after a few months, but it was still loud. Over the course of time, there was a legend of a terrible monster, which was supposed to cause sickness in Ząbkowice. This monster was called Frankenstein from the name of the city in which the dark history took place.
