If you want to get to know Kluczbork, I invite you for a short tour of this historic city. Let's move!
1.The historic church of Christ the Savior
Visiting Kluczbork begins with Chrobry Street and the church of Christ the Savior located by her. This Gothic building was built in the fourteenth century. Inside the church you can admire the historic altar, the original font and pulpit (all these elements come from the second half of the eighteenth century), as well as beautiful Baroque sculptures and decorations in white and gold Rococo colors. Particularly noteworthy are the restored organs, thanks to which, since 1985, organ concerts have been held regularly in the temple. It is worth climbing to the observation tower adjoining the church, from which there is a wonderful view of Kluczbork and the surrounding area.

2. The Pond of 'Kościuszki'
We go towards Kościuszki Street, where we can find the pond of Kosciuszko, managed by the Association of the Polish Angling Association in Kluczbork (formerly this water reservoir in honor of one of the more merited mayors of the city was called the Miller pond). Both residents and tourists can walk around the picturesque Pink Avenue located by the pond and relax near nature and beautiful greenery. Above the water surface you can admire the characteristic Rybaczówka building, which currently houses a popular pub in Kluczbork.
In winter, the pond is also used - it becomes a great ice rink that is often visited not only by children but also by adults.

We are heading to the very center of the city to visit one of the major attractions of Kluczbork - The Market. Initially, the Kluczbork Market served as a market square, but now it is a pedestrian zone and a place where the main offices and the best restaurants and cafes in the city are concentrated. A few years ago, the market was revitalized, thanks to which the elevation of the buildings was renovated, the promenade was paved with new paving stones and the benches for tourists and residents were set up. The most important building of the Market Square is undoubtedly the town hall, which is accompanied by two front tenement houses - it is a remnant of six baroque two-row Kramar houses from the 18th century.

4. Town hall in Kluczbork
It's time to take a closer look at the renaissance-baroque town hall towering over the Kluczbork Market Square. The building was erected in the 18th century in the place of the old town hall, most probably built in the 15th century and has been destroyed, rebuilt and expanded many times over the years. Already from a distance you can see the broken, gable roof of the town hall, beautiful dormers and an openwork turret with a lantern crowned with a pyramid-shaped helmet. You can not miss the beautiful façade with stuccoes, decorative frames of doors and windows and stucco decorations. The most interesting element of the town hall is a time capsule placed in a gilded sphere on the tower, that is documents intended for future generations in which the history of this unique monument is described.

5. The Krakow Gate in Kluczbork
Near the Market Street is located Zamkowa Street, where we can find one of the most interesting attractions of Kluczbork - the Krakow Gate and a high Gothic tower. The building was erected at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries and became a fortification part of the castle probably existing from the end of the 14th century and the royal court surrounded by defensive walls. The Kluczbork castle was destroyed in the 17th century, and the historic gate and impressive tower located on a plinth made of field stones are its only elements that have survived to this day. At the beginning of the 20th century, the tower was heavily rebuilt and adapted to fulfill the function of the municipal water tower. The Krakow Gate itself has not survived until the present time - in the early 30s of the 20th century, fragments of the old castle walls were demolished and a street dedicated to car traffic was placed under them, which was to improve the movement around the city.

6. Regional Museum name's Jan Dzierżon
The walls of the old castle over the Krakow Gate are covered with a vinous old castle. Another attraction of Kluczbork is the museum name's Jan Dzierżon. This regional museum has existed since 1959, and the exhibits in it are divided into two parts: regional and beekeeping. The regional department is primarily the history of the city and the surrounding area (archival documents, antique prints and military accessories), archaeological exhibition containing items from excavations in the area (mainly old vessels and coins), ethnographic exhibition presenting regional costumes and household items, and exhibitions containing souvenirs dzierżonowskie, that is everything related to the patron of the museum (letters, publications, manuscripts, photographs and knick-knacks). It is worth mentioning that Jan Dzierżon spent almost his whole life on beekeeping - and this is the main theme of the second part of the museum, where thematic literature, old beehives, beekeeping equipment, as well as the historic Odra barge were collected.

8. The City Park in Kluczbork
Right next to the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians, we find an oasis of greenery in the city center - a city park. This picturesque greenery was built at the end of the 19th century and since then it has been one of the most liked places in Kluczbork. You can stroll through the charming alleys, arrange bicycle trips and picnics or sit on a bench surrounded by beautiful nature. The park is mainly linden and oaks, but you can also find here Japanese ginkgo, Balsamic virgin, boxwood and azaleas. In a small pond you can admire the phenomenal water lilies, and on the flower meadow there are typically Polish field flowers - campion plants, cornflowers and poppies. In this urban garden, it is worth stopping for a moment at the Kluczbork Glorietta, a monument commemorating the victims of World War I. In 2010, the park underwent general renovation - new benches were set up, the paths and green areas were refreshed and the city fountain was renovated, which thanks to new jets and underwater lighting became the biggest decoration of the Kluczbork park.

9. Retention reservoir in Ligota Górna The last point of the trip around Kluczbork is a reservoir in the Stobrawa river valley located in Ligota Górna. This huge 60-hectare lagoon was created mainly for utility purposes (it can contain at least 1.5 million m³ of water, thus protecting the city in case of drought or flood), but its tourist potential was also noticed and for several years this water body is one of the largest Kluczbork attractions. No wonder - the water surface surrounded by forest is the perfect place for rest and relaxation. Around the reservoir was built a 3.5-kilometer walking and cycling path, a sandy beach was marked out, and even a beautifully located observation deck was taken care of. The Kluczbork lagoon is also a fantastic place for anglers - the Polish Angling Association restocked this area, among others perch, pike, carp and zander. There is also an open-air gym for the active, and families with children will surely enjoy the well-equipped playground and educational path.
