The city of Kamienna Góra was founded along the trade route leading through the Lubawska Gate from Silesia to the Czech Republic. This trail was one of the branches of the Amber Route that connected the Baltic with the countries of the south of Europe. During World War II, all textile factories were converted into defense factories.

Kamienna Góra is a city that has many interesting and interesting monuments. The most important monuments include:

Adit of the ARADO tunnel - under the city area there are partly filled up mazes of corridors. Work on them was done by prisoner concentration camps and forced laborers. The square surrounded by tenement houses in the Baroque style from the 17th to 18th centuries - the buildings surrounding the rectangular market come mainly from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, because most of the old tenements were destroyed as a result of cataclysms that often haunted the city or were simply demolished due to its bad state. However, to this day, several baroque tenement houses with arcades have been preserved, which were used as a perfect place for trade. One of them is the seat of the Weaving Museum, which was restored in 2007.

Parish church. St. Peter and Paul from the gothic presbytery from the 14th century. - The Gothic-Renaissance parish church of Saints Peter and Paul is the oldest church in the city. It is located in the old town, in its south-western part. This temple was erected at the end of the 13th century, and more precisely in 1294, but it has not survived to its present shape in its original form. It was burned during the Hussite wars and was therefore rebuilt in the fifteenth century.

Post-evangelical church from the 18th century, one of the Churches of Grace - currently a Roman Catholic church. Our Lady of the Rosary - this Baroque temple is located on Kościelny Square, at the foot of Góra Parkowa, just behind the old walls of the old town. This is one of the two preserved churches of Grace in Silesia. It was created by the Treaty of Altranstädt, in which Emperor Józef I allowed Silesian protestants to build six temples: in Jelenia Góra, Milicz, Żagań, Kożuchów, Cieszyn and precisely in Kamienna Góra.

The ruins of a Renaissance castle from the 16th century, which was rebuilt in the 19th century. The first building in this place could have been built in the 13th century and the legend says it was built by the Knights Templars who established their headquarters there. Over the years, the palace's guests included King Frederick William III, Tsar Alexander and the future Prussian Prince Frederick William. The walls, the courtyard and the tower, as well as a fragment of the wall with the main gate have survived to this day. You can also see Renaissance portals or decorated window openings, and to the castle ruins run over a hundred-year-old lime alley, named in honor of Prince Frederic Wilhelm Książęca.

Jewish cemetery from the end of the 18th century at Katowicka street - the Jewish cemetery in Kamienna Góra is one of the few and the best preserved Jewish cemeteries in Silesia. . Matzevot come mainly from the nineteenth century and are set in equal rows facing east. They were made mainly of sandstone and many of them have been preserved in very good condition - the Hebrew inscriptions dominate them, which are still legible today.

The first town hall in Kamienna Góra was erected in 1564, but it burned down in 1638. In 1660 it was rebuilt, then enlarged in 1692-1694, and finally it was demolished in 1873. The current town hall was built in 1904-1905 according to the design of Wroclaw architects Richard Gaze and Alfred Böttcher.

By decision of the voivodeship conservator of monuments of June 28, 1977, the town hall was entered into the register of monuments.

A mausoleum in honor of murdered prisoners and prisoners of war in the branch of the Gross-Rosen concentration camp and in prisoner-of-war camps - in July 1944 in Kamienna Góra a branch of the concentration camp named Arbeitslager Landeshut was created, ie the labor camp Kamienna Góra, which was subordinated to the concentration camp in Gross- rosen. In the camp, which operated in the city until the end of the war, there were on average 1,500 - 1,600 prisoners from various countries, mainly Jews, Poles and Russians, who had to work in industrial plants, mainly in the factory of rolling bearings, quarries and in drifts.
