In 1945, the stronghold together with the city became part of Poland. It is also possible to visit the cellars, with a labyrinth of underground corridors.

Underground Tourist Route

Open to the public,a part of the undergrounds, located under the Kłodzko Old Town.
The route is about 700 m long and has a dozen themed halls with exhibits on the history of the city.
The underground served the former inhabitants of the city as food storage, and as a shelter in the event of invasion by foreign troops. Along the route, in the reconstructed basement halls, there are exhibitions with exhibits on the history of the city and showing the everyday life of its inhabitants.
There are presented, among others,: pharmacy utensils, tools, laundry, baking oven, tavern and merchant's office. An interactive sound system is installed on the route which plays sounds of the old city (sounds of the market, burgher music, sounds of revelers in the former tavern) and the sounds of battle. In addition, animations are displayed from projectors, e.g. rats that respond to passers-by.

Museum of the Kłodzko Land

Established in 1963 a museum and science institution embracing its interest in the Kłodzko Land area and its multinational cultural legacy, and in particular geology, geography, history, history of material culture and the art of the region.
The first seat of the museum was the building of the former commandant of the Kłodzko fortress, the so-called Palace of the Commander in the Kłodzko market. Due to the threat of a construction disaster, caused by landslide of the Kłodzko Old Town, the museum had to look for a new headquarters.
The largest museum collections are: set of numismatic, Silesian clocks, contemporary unique artistic glass and works of art.

The scientific library operating in the museum has a collection of regional literature with over 9,500 volumes: books, regional magazines, conservation documentation and historical and architectural studies of the region's monuments.
The Museum participates in cultural and educational activities of the city and the region. In its interiors there are concerts, readings, youth competitions, lectures and museum meetings. It has been also organizing a museum night since 2008, during which night tours of the city take place. It is visited every year by nearly 20,000 people.

Owcza Góra Fortress

Remote fort of Kłodzko Fortress, which is a defense system from the 17th and 18th centuries. Fort on the Owcza Góra was supposed to make it impossible to fire the Main Fortress from the top of the hill, as well as facilitate the observation of the advanced north-eastern forelands and improve the control of the road towards Wrocław. Its function also included complete protection of the eastern approach to the fortress, extension of the "field of view" of the defenders from the eastern side and blocking the Nysa Kłodzka valley and the road to Wrocław.

Gothic Bridge

Historic stone bridge over the Młynówka River. The bridge has the characteristics of a Gothic building and connects the Piasek Island and the old part of Kłodzko on Forteczna Góra with the market square and the fortress, constituting in the past a part of one of the main communication routes in this part of the city. The bridge is closed to vehicular traffic.

On the pillars of the bridge there are six stone sculptures depicting: the Holy Trinity and the crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint. John of Nepomuk, the most popular saint in the region, Crucifixion, Saint. Franciszek Ksawery, the patron protecting the disease, Peta and Saint. Wenceslas. Due to its architecture, the bridge is often compared to the famous Charles Bridge in Prague, but also often - from the street name - called "the bridge of Veit Stoss", or "the bridge of St. John. The bridge had the unofficial name "bridge on eggs" in the past. The name comes from the fact that the bridge was built on a mortar of chicken egg protein, lime and sand.

Kłodzko Town Hall

Neorenaissance, historic town hall located in the central part of Bolesław Chrobry Square in Kłodzko, in the Old Town. It was built in 1887-1890 according to the design of the German architect Ewald Berger. For some time, the town hall was the seat of a museum founded in 1906, occupying two rooms. Since 1990, it has been the seat of the Mayor of Kłodzko, the City Council in Kłodzko, faculties of the City Office in Kłodzko and the city guard.
